This project involved permanent repairs by restoration and revetment of the dunes in Flagler Beach which involved fortifying the dune with additional sand and vegetation. Other construction involved drainage improvements including a system of French drains to reduce undermining of road walk, reconstruction of sidewalk, and the construction of a buried seawall which will help protect the roadway from future storm events. This construction was a result of damage caused by Hurricane Matthew.
